Today I have mainly been v3

Spent the day at my daughter’s flat removing old vinyl floor and laying a new one.
my knees stopped working towards the end!
Now typing after a very long soak in a bath with Epsom salts.

My Dad is 82 today. We took him a bottle of red wine. My Mother wants me to sort out some music to play at a party near Christmas. Not sure how big the room is that she has booked, but I reckon a playlist on my iPod Classic will suit what she is after. My old 30 wpc Technics amplifier and IMF Super Compacts should be loud enough.
As long as I can get the speakers in the right place and height, all will be fine.

plaster removed this morning, my arm and wrist are still badly bruised after 6 weeks. surgeon suggests may need a plate/wire procured and fixed if physio not successful. they did not know both bones were broken and the issue is the small one not fusing.

granddaughter afternoon today, she is on top form, the amount of info she is retaining amazes me. around 3pm got a call from fracture clinic, the surgeon and specialist asked me to go back again today, but stumped as cannot i cannot drive, so next thursday it is, apparently Nellie is coming too, should be fun.

Nothing to report, been working from home since Tuesday. I’ve decided working from home isn’t for me, the odd day is okay but I’m climbing the walls after 2 days, especially when the weather’s bad. Back in town this morning, feeling happier.

Going to Suffolk with Mrs BB and the dogs for 3 days tomorrow. Staying in Barn somewhere North of Ipswich. Haven’t been away since a long weekend in Lisbon in January and only time off was to decorate in May. Ready for a rest, although Mabel our Cockapoo Puppy will have something to say about that.

Cheers BB

Much to my surprise, I might be buying a new amplifier.
There is nothing wrong with the current one, but everything else in the system cost double+ what the current amp cost. (justification is a piece of peas)
Wife did question the potential purchase, but that was down to a misunderstanding. Wife thought the current Amp. was a recent purchase - much to our mutual surprise it was nearly eight years ago!

Usual rules apply - get the new amplifier for a long audition at home. There has to be a distinct positive difference in sound reproduction. The Wife and The Daughter will get an opinion, which usually acts as reassurance to me. We haven’t disagreed about any Hi-Fi purchases using ears as our guide.

Seabass and summat later.

Day out in Coventry - transport museum and cathedral, thoroughly enjoyable day.

Now enjoying a pint of lovely local 5% beer - £3.85 a pint......a marked difference to the £7.75 a pint i was charged in Marylebone last week

Sounds good, I love rice, have something with rice a couple of times per week. Will be having rice with Prawn curry tonight.

Cheers BB

It was yummy. Brown rice used this time, but I ain’t fussed.
We could just eat the rice & peas to be honest, but a pan-fried fillet of seabass each worked okay.

Wife has already declared tomorrow’s meal - butterflied poussin and couscous. Wife puts roasted seeds and all kinds of rammel in with the couscous - I doubt that she will pomegranate it though - but hopefully put fresh coriander in it…

I love couscous especially with all kinds of ‘rammel’, rest of the family aren’t fussed.

Cheers BB
