What they need to teach them a lesson is more Trump eh Max?
What they need is to get money out of politics, so that government can begin to actually start to do what the people need done.

It would be helpful too if mainstream media was not simply an establishment/state tool, designed to manufacture consent for war and keep the US population divided into two camps of red and blue, both of whose parties work for the same banks, corporations, lobbyists, donors etc.

These changes will never come about while people are wedded to one of the two corrupt, criminal parties.

I don't see how they'll ever come about short of some type of revolution as the tech companies are now censoring/banning the voices of those trying to enlighten others to the sham that is US democracy.

But hey, keep going on about Trump, while Americans become more and more desperate and divided. This is exactly what the criminals raping the country want.

Sorry Max, but you lost all credibility with me when you got Trump so massively, spectacularly wrong.

Max is still saying the same thing - get the money out of politics - and in that, he’s not wrong. But there’s more than a whiff of QAnon and similar about Max’ take on things.

Trump is a strange phenomenon. I can think of maybe two things he did while President that I agreed with: his attempts, at least in part to improve relations with N Korea, and his withdrawal of some troops from Syria and Afghanistan. Everything else he did I disagreed with.

He didn't start any new wars though. He didn't start a world war.

So pretty shit, but could've been worse.

Clinton is a maniac too. We don't know what she'd have done. Maybe began war with Russia is Syria. That's what I feared. That's why I preferred the other maniac.

You boys are just chewing the cod on an audio forum. Trump was the ideal bad guy to keep the banter going the last five years. But he's gone now.

Biden has filled his cabinet with warmongers, ex weapons manufacturer company bigwigs. Corporate shills etc. It's business as usual. He has the US version of Priti Patel ready to take the reigns in servitude of the elites when his dementia takes him out.

It's all good because, Trump....

What do you think you are doing?

Trump is gone but the forces behind him certainly haven't and are a lot closer to return than any amount of your wishful thinking about a socialist take-over of the US. Incidentally, Bernie is on board with Biden whom he has described as a "decent man" I assume Bernie is now a class traitior who is off your greeting card list these days.

Well I'm not thinking anything not Trump = good.

Bernie has shown his true colours. He's just another defending the corrupt democratic party. Same as AOC, Ilhan Omar, and the rest of the squad. They all bent the knee to power.

I don't expect nor hope for a socialist take over of the US.

Just because I preferred the other maniac from a choice of two and I'm very suspicious of the lies and conspiracy theories of the US security state and its media wing you feel you can label me any way you like. It's all emotive nonsense.

Audio forum banter. Feel good stuff. Nothing at all wrong with it, but please don't confuse such emotive internet banter with any realistic, objective observation of the issues with US politics.

Bit simplistic.

I don't have high hopes of Biden but there have been a few promising signs (commitment to significant fiscal stimulus rather than austerity, positive moves on the environment and the decision to end support for operations in Yemen).

That's already a huge step forwards from the Trump's blatant wickedness and corruption, but I accept that that the underlying conditions that gave rise to Trump are still in place, and that Biden needs to tackle them fast.

They all sell out even poor old Bernie, I rather thought that might be the case. Talking of emotive nonsense, there was no equivalence between Clinton and Trump and if you don't get that - any ambition beyond it is for the birds.

He's against Medicare for all even though around 80% of Democratic voters want it. This during a deadly pandemic that has decimated millions of lives. If he stood in the UK with such policies he'd be ridiculed more than Farage.

But because he's not Trump, people try to see good. There is none! He's just as much in hock to power. Harris even more so.

Research further what the US is actually changing wrt Yemen. Very little.

They're still trying to destroy Venezuela. No sign they'll go back in the Iran deal. They've sent more troops to Syria. The new Secretary Of State is one of the biggest warmongers in Washington.

It's an oligarchy! People need to stop being happy with the crumbs they're thrown, often symbolic, designed to assuage people as the rape of the country continues.

The UK is going the same way. You see it Drood. Due to money in politics.

Red Vs blue allegiance helps to keep it all going.

He didn't start any new wars though. He didn't start a world war.

Well, as an article the other day pointed out, he did indeed start a world war, and against the worst opponent of all - nature itself. His rolling back of environmental regulations, his allowing of mining and drilling in pristine natural locations, his denial of climate change and the effects it is having, his getting rid of any sort of expertise in the area and its replacement by hacks and yes-(wo)men has the potential to be the most devastating war of all. If we bite nature, nature will bite us back much harder, and is currently doing so. Just look at what Brazil's Trump (with the latter's approval) is doing to the Amazon rainforest.

The COVID crisis is an example - as we encroach on natural territory, the chances of encountering zoonotic viruses against which we have no immunity rises enormously. This short-sightedness for short-term gain reminds me of Nikita Khruschev's famous statement that, when it came time to hang the last capitalist, the capitalist would sell him the rope.

John Oliver is worth watching on the subject:

Wow, Trump apologist in triple-post denial!
That's the intellectual equivalent of a three year old throwing his dummy at someone.

Trump, Trump, Trump.....

Why empower him so much? He's gone.

I see you stating a few weeks ago that you have high hopes for Harris:rolleyes:

Based on what? I'll tell you what: emotion. Because what else could it be based on unless your interests align with the US Oligarchy.

Do they?

LOL. Sure I align way more with the US centre than your radicalised Putin, Assad, Trump, Galloway echo chamber bullshit. Whatever Harris does she can’t possibly be as batshit crazy as the stuff you have shovelled onto here over the years!

Biden is against Medicare? That’s interesting, given he was Veep during the Obama administration, whose flagship project was the ACA.

I've never once posted anything batshit crazy on here. You just don't like it when I call you out on your conspiracy theory peddling and use of Douglas Murray lingo when defending brutality, so you constantly falsely smear me. I just see it as funny to be honest.

High hopes for Harris:D:D:D

Sweet Jesus:rolleyes:

Biden has been consistently opposed to Bernies Medicare for All proposal, and is instead touting beefing up the ACA. The big problem with this is that the ACA has done nothing to control medical costs and is being gamed in every legal way imaginable by both providers and insurers.

American healthcare needs radically changing so that it serves public health and not corporate profits. It is unlikely that Biden is the person to do this. However, it would also be a Herculean task - and the country faces more immediate problems. It’s hard to tell to what extent his healthcare policies are heartfelt vs money based but it is very disappointing that the Democratic Party cannot get behind a platform of universal healthcare, especially with the experience of the past year.
