Covid 19 is a twenty-first century virus, Brian.

You have to get down with the cool kids.

* Hilarious. Pretty much makes it all but useless. Other countries have simler Apps that work on older devices.
The phone is old, tbh. It’s an iphone 5s but it works well.

Since getting it I have had a later samsung thing and hated it. I also had an iPhone 6 but lost some function I liked so I reverted to the 5s. I have an iphone 4 or something lurking at the caravan as well as a ‘not smart’ phone. I hadn’t realised until now how I am hoarding things I have no real interest in.

I predict dumb mobiles will make a major comeback. Similar to vinyl.
Some 'progress' isn't.

The new app might be very good, after all it's closer to the ones our EU friends have been using for a while. It is also very good at forcing folk to buy new phones (from tory donors?). My concern is that if people can't easily and quickly get a test or if those tests are lost or compromised in any other way the app is useless as the virus will have been spread long before anyone gets their result.

You can only add 'official' NHS tests too.

I've had tests at the University and Science park and can't add these to the App as I don't have the right code.

Joined up thinking ...

1000 people in ICUs in France already, for the first time since the beginning of June (there being no hospitalisations in France of course for avid followers of this thread ;))

Mutations in the virus maybe causing it to be more infectious but no more deadly as yet

Richard Leonard finally putting the boot into Sturgeon

"Scottish Labour leader Richard Leonard said the spread of the virus at universities should have been predicted - and said there had been similar failures to anticipate a spike in demand for testing when schools returned in August."

Beagles could detect lung cancer 97% of the time, similar results have been achieved with prostate ca. It’s certainly worth investigating when you think about the current failure to meet demand and that swab- pcr testing has an even worse accuracy. It could literally be a game changer and do we need one!

I dunno. This COVID-19 testing regime is really going to the dogs.
