Question Time

The BBCs gone all northern to address red (blue?) wall syndrome.

It's godda be good for balance!

A much more measured programme than usual. Good discussions about knife crime and the digital services tax.
Emily Thornberry spectacularly failing to understand the lessons from Labour's election defeat though.

The Tories have sent Cleverly to Buxton where the natives are restless and he has the same look on his face as Johnson when he walked out of his house on the morning of the Brexit referendum result. His party owns this and they’ve got five years of facing down the regions. Brexit is off the table- now the the real shit, like the crap rail infrastructure, hits the fan.

Why do the Tories insist on putting up Cleverly for Question Time. The man spluttered and waffled his way through the whole programme and obviously hadn't either (a) done his homework or (b) read his briefing pack. A woeful performance.

He’s utterly hopeless, but hardly stands out from his peers. Anyone with any intellect or talent was purged by the party or left long before the last election.

Just watched it from Scotland.

Gratifying that everyone on the panel was very vocal about the obvious fact that Cummings is an unelected PM.

Gratifying to see also that most recognised that Cummings/Johnson is out to neuter our Independent Judiciary.

Gratifiying to see the Term 'Dictatorship' used in a very 'not joking' fashion by the panel.

All with the exception of the token Tory.. who looked distinctly embarrassed, but clearly didn't have the bollocks to criticise his master.

All we need now is for the ****wits who voted Boris and his crooks into power, despite the very clear advance signalling of these moves, in the Tory Manifesto.. to suddenly learn the value of an independent judiciary, a Parliament which exists to hold Govt to account, etc..

Very worrying times.

She’s got everything she wants and she’s still angry. This is who the BBC thinks it has to please to avoid annihilation. But nothing pleases them, except being angry.

sean.

i don't think they are pleased about being angry. most people don't know why they are no happy in life and then a lot of misattribution happens. i'd also venture that, although the borders are closed now, she's still not happy about all the ones who are already in (and the expensive interpretors they apparently require).

The guy sat next to her is thinking "oh fvck why did I get this seat"
