@martin clark - I didn’t sow any giants this year. I didn’t plant this one (of four) either - a squirrel did! There’s another growing in a tiny pot on the living wall, too. Quite amusing but nice to have additional pair of helping ‘hands’.

Thank you - yes, Roche in north Cornwall. It is an extraordinary place, not least because it is so incongruous and unexpected. The chapel was built in the 1400s, is dedicated to St.Michael, and is the source of much local legend. It isn't, as you might expect, high up on some remote moor, but just beyond the village cricket field! I didn't see a soul whilst I was there. You can clamber up old iron ladders through the chapel and onto the top of the rock. Were it not for the trees inbeteween, it wouldn't be a bad spot to from which to watch the cricket!
