@Woodface Some of our bowling was pretty awful towards the end of the Australian innings. We allowed them far to many easy runs, and should have had a comfortable 1st innings lead of at least 30 runs.

Perhaps but they batted well & we have done similar with our lower order.

No posts from matthewr so I feared the worst all morning, especially when I saw at one point that the latest addition was from The Captain - I immediately assumed Harry Brook must be out. But the two posts above look pretty positive - I’ll head over to the BBC site and check the score.

130 runs. 1 wkt. And @ 5 over with no daftness. That's the best england batting 1st session I've ever seen in my life.

Shows we can actually bat at bazball runrate, without needing to resort to it's silly side.

Indeed, but if we bat through to lunch tomorrow, and amass a lead of over 400 the Aussies won’t have time to overhaul us at their typical run rate - unless they go all Basball - which could make it all quite interesting.

True. Lead of 350 in the next 45 minutes and put them in for half an hour this evening and what could equate to a single day of cricket over the next two days.
