Brexit: give me a positive effect... VI

People are MORE than obsessed with what other people are worth/have/are doing, and all that sh**. FOOKING GROW UP.

Fooking good luck to the entire rest of the world - I hope that they and you accumulate gazillions. The only thing that REALLY matters to me is how I am doing. I REALLY could not be less than not bothered by how others are doing.

Jealousy and envy really are the total pits.

The problem is if you get accumulation of wealth in too few people the economy breaks down, also a lot of people are wealthy by manipulating wealth already created rather creating more wealth. Even Henry Ford recognised this, when asked why he paid his workers five bucks an hour instead of a dollar fifty he pointed out that he needed people to be able to afford to buy his cars, today that sounds like the words of a rabid socialist rather than a quite sensible comment in line with our current understanding of economics.

I think because he is winging it. He looks and sounds ridiculous but as I mentioned much earlier in the year the popcorn is now opened and I intend to enjoy the shxt that emanates from BJ et all over the next couple of months.
Dumb blonde was invented for this guy.

As always I hope he fails miserably and UK life as it has been over the last 30-40yrs continues as normal, covid permitting.
I don't see smiles on ROI politicians these days.

Eh Colin one would hardly expect there to be given the adult behaviour across the sea. We have boring politicians who are concerned about their economy and their citizens. You guys should try and elect a few like them you might be pleasantly surprised. But never mind I still have the popcorn and bubbly on ice in anticipation of BJ and Cummings falling into a large cow pat and sinking into oblivion.

You've been telling us that the EU needs a deal, but any UK concessions would be BINO. Nige has his "sell out" banners printed.
Both sides need a deal and concessions will be made with both sides able to sell the deal. Early December before this happens.

Ahhh! Didn't see that coming when you voted leave, did you?
Or did you? Either way exhibits the intellectual agility of ...oh never mind.
Where's Barren Colin when you need him?
I have no sympathy with you, whoever you are. You protest so much I would not be surprised if you are a tory enabler.

It just staggers me that people believe the EU will give us the same advantages as non-members that we enjoyed as members. My Mum used to tell me I couldn’t have the hapenny and the gingerbread, and this seems to be the world many live in. We are not going to be better off out than in because we won’t be able to enjoy the same privileges. It is always going to be a shitty end of the stick we receive. The question is just how brown are our fingers going to end up. However Brian, keep on protesting it’s the remainers fault. Of course it is, we didn’t want to leave and lose our privileges.
First thing is, I’m not protesting, I really don’t give a damn who you think is at fault, or not at fault. My opinion is the tory party is responsible and I won’t be swayed on that.

Secondly, I haven’t said brexit is the fault of remainers, you’ve bought the hard remainer bile on that one. What I have said is brexit is all about the tory party, which means brexit is the responsibility of everyone who has helped enable successive tory govts. Which part of that is wrong, and which part is specifically blaming remainers for brexit?

Whatever. I don’t have any sympathy for hard remainers who helped the tories win the election on some spurious grounds of not backing Labour where they could win a seat, or not tactically voting to prevent a tory seat. There was a chance of a second referendum and it was spurned.

Do you blame them?, at some point anyone would get exasperated by dealing with an entitled, spoilt and lying child.
I’m not concerned with why the EU is not negotiating, just that they aren’t. I previously suggested the EU was not negotiating in good faith and was told that was rubbish, so now I’m highlighting they aren’t negotiating at all. I don’t care why that is.

God almighty, are you still surprised at this? What were you expecting?
Try reading again what I posted and to what I was replying. If you don’t understand the meaning in context let me know and I’ll try to explain.

By the way, I’m not surprised and never have been.

The U.K. hardly needs help in failing, it manages quite nicely on its own.
I agree, but then I did already say that.

ROI politicians could hardly be described as boring, since Brexit they have been on the centre stage with the EU big boys and girls calling the shots. Lets hope Angela is true to her word and looks after the ROI if their biggest customer is unable to trade freely with them.

‘Brexit: give me a positive effect’
You must be kidding.
To me, is shows ( yet again ) what a waster Johnson is.
People seem to have forgotten the ‘Oven-ready Brexit deal’ he told us about.
He just tells lies...

What a bizarre post.

I think tonerei is concerned, like many of us here, that Johnson, Cummings, JR-M etc are acting in their own nefarious self-interests (including their handling of the pandemic), the likely result of which is unnecessary suffering and death, as well as trashing the reputation of the UK on the world stage. Yet they are not being held accountable for their actions. If you think that that's OK, then expect it to be challenged.

It has nothing to do with jealousy or envy. It has everything to do with wanting what's best for this country and the people who live here.

..what will Jacintha do?

Both sides do not need a deal, a deal is preferable to no deal but since it is about face saving and the EU will barely notice a no deal compared to the the U.K. and Boris will not remain in power if he accedes to to the EU then a no deal is looking the most likely outcome.

Can’t wait to see how it ends. Either way it’s curtains for Boris once his own MPs come for him. He really has ****ed this up. What’s Frost been doing over there- tucking into oysters, Dublin Bay prawns and Dover sole washed down with a nice Sancerre blanc before catching the Eurostar home?

For all this brave talk from both sides the piggy banks are empty and a virus that may take years before it disappears is raging.

Does he care ? He has ticked the PM box now and led the country into chaos. He would prefer to go back to his very well paid newspaper waffle 'job' which takes no more than an hour a week, leaving plenty of time for affairs here and there. He'll soon have that twinkle in his eyes back.

Of course he has, he needs to fill his boots now while he can still afford it. Have you any idea how expensive Dublin Bay prawns and Sancerre are going to be after January?
