Artists with long run (back to back) of high quality albums

The Cure of course... this was an extremely fine decade, most bands are lucky to get 3 good albums out.

Three Imaginary Boys - 1979
Seventeen Seconds - 1980
Faith - 1981
Pornography - 1982
The Top - 1984
The Head on the Door - 1985
Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me - 1987
Disintegration - 1989

Any reason why you missed Mellow Gold (1994) from the list? Excellent debut album. :)

No reason at all.

I agree that Mellow Gold is a great album. You're right, I should have included that one too. ;)

Perhaps I was too conservative.

IIRC Mellow Gold is his debut album with a major label. Before Mellow Gold, he had released a couple of albums with independent labels.

Ah cool, was just interested. Yeah it's a great album, and yep as you point out is technically the 3rd album. :)

Miles Davis - everything up until the 1980s (that’s about 70-80 albums!).

Kraftwerk - everything.

Minus "Quiet Nights" for MD...;)

Actually I'd put everything from "Man With The Horn" through to "Doo-Bop" in too. I wouldn't be without any of those either...plus honourable mention for Bill Laswell's remixes, and the "Siesta" soundtrack with Marcus Miller and "The Hot Spot" with John Lee Hooker etc

Good grief. I don’t have Dusk.

Infected is truly superb.

Side 1, Soul Mining is excellent, side 2 I have never reallygot into.

Mind Bomb is a real mix of superb, good and not so good.

Now, Infected, must surely feature in the best albums of the 80s.
