Up for auction is my Ittok LV II. After many years stirling service I finally bit the bullet and replaced it with an Ekos SE. EBay item number 144187127057

I haven't changed the bearing, only the tonearm. Still doesn't make sense unless I suppose it's a subtle change in geometry, tracking weight, bias etc. Maybe I've accidentally hit a sweet spot :)

Does anyone know who makes the Karousel bearing? Is it SME? I know they make the Keel. It would make sense to use the same supplier and I can't think of a engineering firm more suitable.

Sorry me again... One of the biggest improvements is a huge reduction in surface noise. Can't work out why this would be, but happy anyway. Any corroboration or theories would be interesting

Interesting comments about Kore. It seems as though the Keel is last on the list of improvements available to the LP12 as the Kore is actually pretty good. I can see the engineering superiority of the lp12 but the Ittok looks very crude compared to the latest Rega arms. The arm tube is screwed on with self tappers for goodness sake.
