Now this is a mess of angles :
10/10, it was that good.
Quiet as a limo, fast as a GTi it felt, loads of room, brilliant brilliant car.
Was tempted by the new Skoda Superb but that is VW Group so was binned today no matter how well thought of they are.
But what about my VAG embargo ?
Damn & blast it, I'd have the Superb at the drop of a hat but my pig headedness is now kicking in.
given modern motoring is 70% stuck in traffic and 30% speed cameras.
What happened to the exhaust on the Passat anyway, was it damaged or did it corrode?

Get the Superb. You know you want to. And IMO you won't regret it.
You should have given it a bash with a mallet. That'd fix it!No damage & no corrosion, diagnosed as internal baffle resonance which is very annoying as it is a constant loud tizz in mid-range revs equating to most statutory speed limits in any gear.
Like a bloody cuckoo hammering away at your head.
I just bought a bloody boring 2007 Toyota Avensis diesel
It was too much of a good deal to turn down, though I'll be trying to offload for profit as despite it being perfectly competent it's mind-numbingly dull!
with a power band so narrow, overtaking is a nightmare IIR. Mine lasted 8 months!
