It will, but you should make sure that the pin/alignment is set up for the Linn standard, rather than, say the Jelco standard, which will exit the plug at a different angle. I purchased a custom Van Damme tonearm cable from this same seller, and he was very responsive to queries and helpful.

How does this compare to the older Ortofon Kontrapunkt line, like the Kontrapunkt A or Kontrapunkt H, in particular?

How did the two Zyx compare to each other? I've heard that there may not be that much difference or that some like the R50 better for the $$.

Thanks for the feedback on the Apheta on non-Rega arms/decks. For my next cartridge, the Linn Krystal likely is the frontrunner, but since I don't have the means to actually audition for myself it is nice to hear what others think about other cartridges, too.

What do people think of these cartridges on non-Rega arms/tables. Say, for example, on a Linn LP12 with Ittok LVIII? I've looked around, but found surprising little feedback on this.

I bought an Ortofon DS3 last time I was in Japan. It seems well-made, accurate, and has a lip to measure the stylus force close to the record. I know the gauge is available in the UK and the US, but likely at higher prices than in Japan.

Klyde was manufactured by Goldring, so I imagine they would make it good as new on a rebuild. Asaka is likely older and, I think, made by Supex; it can likely be repaired, but may not sound the same as when new.

That's good to know; I'll likely be replacing my Kontrapunkt H in the next year or so, and was looking at both the XX2 and Krystal as possible replacements. Since the Krystal has been out for a little while now (and the excitement of a new "midpriced" Linn MC cartridge should have settled down)...

As someone else mentioned, they will charge what the market will bear. Note the increases in prices of Lyra and Dynavector models (made in Japan) in the past four or five years, despite, in general a weakening yen and stronger dollar. Yet, they supposedly are often backordered. Not sure that...

I've got a gen 1 Vault, which I used to store my entire CD collection. Sound pretty good (a little "hifi") and has been reliable. The app's use of playlists is not my favorite, but otherwise works pretty well and looks good. I'd recommend highly for the price.

Well, I'd like to maintain 5.1 capabilities for cinema, hence the attraction of the Exotic or first version of the Akurate Pre. It's just with streamer/hdd, blu ray player, headphone amp/dac, pre and power amps, turntable, phono pre and phono power supply, things get crowded. I am well aware...

That's what I was afraid of. I suppose if I get, say an Exotik or Akurate with the phono stage included I can test it out myself; just trying to reduce the boxes and extra cables.
