Tory leadership failure Part V: Rishi ‘Infosys’ Sunak

Bingo. And which one do you think is being honest? There isn't a cuddly voter-friendly way to present catastrophic environmental collapse.

The irony being that you'd think a xenophobic party obsessed with immigration would be concerned about billions of people fleeing their homes as the sea level rises, food shortages kick in and political order breaks down.
1 crisis at a time to be exploited for political power. No solutions.

All of this is why it's also batshit crazy to imagine that a Labour gov can possibly be worse than this one. There won't be a shortage of things to disagree with for sure, but they won't get near this level of CHAOS.

Ms McVey clearly hasn't thought this one through. Recruitment and retention in the CS is already a struggle - stop considering E&D and you'll make that situation worse.

ETA - I notice that speech was given to the Centre for Policy Studies. Bet you can't guess where their office is based. I'll give you a clue, it rhymes with "Gufton Treat"

What makes you think she gives a **** about that?

At the moment, I'm sure she doesn't. But, if you bang on about CS "delivering for the citizens of the UK", the loss of sufficient staff to do that ought to be a concern.

It's almost like logic has taken a back seat to ideology. Surely not. :D

Their proposed defence spending hike will be funded from decimating the civil service. Was Dacre not floating a cull of 30,000 staff?

I'm a socialist but note the Sunak today shifted the dial in his favour when he answered a question and delineated the age difference. Not to my taste but interesting. Just felt for the first time; ‘well perhaps’.

Dear me, its pendants united on this site, sometimes. Is this the way you deal with an answer you dont agree with, nit pick it. Whether its a piece of art or not, is not up for question, its the direction the action took that I dont agree with. Take it down to Parliment Square, strip off naked and stick your dicks and fannies together, while chained to Risky Ballsacks door. Then I'm in.
It's not "its pendants", it's "it's pedants".

Happy to help.

They’re now stoking the “security agenda”, both external and internal. From Putin to the SNP. Only the party of Conservatism can save Britain (while simultaneously destroying it for everyone). Starmer’s cue to grind the flagpole next.

A nation failing its way into fascism.

I’ve not posted Michael Rosen’s poem for a while, so here it is again:

Fascism: I sometimes fear...

I sometimes fear that
people think that fascism arrives in fancy dress
worn by grotesques and monsters
as played out in endless re-runs of the Nazis.

Fascism arrives as your friend.
It will restore your honour,
make you feel proud,
protect your house,
give you a job,
clean up the neighbourhood,
remind you of how great you once were,
clear out the venal and the corrupt,
remove anything you feel is unlike you...

It doesn't walk in saying,
"Our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."

Hmmm, nuclear war or another round of Tory rule?. It's a tough one, I'll have to get back to you on that one

Shortened to MAGA. Or in our pathetic little copy MEGA.

It’s exactly where the Tory Party is now- a hard right, ethnic nationalist entity jostling with smaller far right ones like Reform, Britain First and even Labour posturing so as to not miss out on potential votes.

It horrifies me that the political mainstream now consider low-IQ racist nationalist shit to be their target demographic. I’m by nature a pretty cynical outsider, but even I have a far higher opinion of humans than that. This far-right mindset needs meeting with bricks, bottles and fire IMHO. Time to think in terms of resistance rather than opposition.
