Two words:
David
Milliband
He ruined their best chance by betraying his brother. And look how crap he was. Better as a back room boy like Brown. But it wasn’t just him it was the young’s inability to really ‘see’ what they were entering into. That’s as much of an issue.

I edited my previous posts. Just tired of all the cliches, I guess. The young Corbyn supporters I've met are far from brainwashed.

I don’t think Starmer has the directness and believability of Nandy but he is bright, aware and a calming hub. The thin lipped and hard faced Long Bailey could never have gathered the clan. I reckon she would have been extremely divisive and a bit of a Corbyn puppet.

Resent events with coronavirus have shown Corbyn was right all along.... We should have spent vastly more on the NHS BEFORE a crisis! Post crisis politics and public opinion may have been ready to accept his policies!

Lovin this coz it means, and we should put this on his grave stone:

JC - right man, right place, right policies, wrong time

When will the socialists ever learn that the majority of England is conservative with a small c and you need to court them initially and then take them on a journey to the left. Wishing cancer on them and calling them ****s will keep you in miserable opposition forever.

Starmer's far sharper than Johnson and will cut him to shreds.

He fails the international definition the LP is signed up to, that's for sure. Left-wing anti-semitism is a different form of prejudice than the far right form, but I can't understand how you can't take the view that Corbyn's views are anti-Jewish. Most Jews believes that is the case.
This again. Do you have any evidence that Corbyn’s views are anti-Jewish? Do you know Corbyn? Don’t post yet another link. Write a post and explain in your own words your justification for this accusation.

Just so you know, I do not like how Palestinians are treated. Does that mean I am anti-Jewish in your world?

<snip>
Then there is the Covid 19 body count. If that turns out to be hugely worse than other countries of similar wealth then the Tories own it, and I suspect they know it. They have presided over our healthcare funding for a decade now so there is absolutely nowhere to hide. It will obviously be an ugly statistic to use politically, but it is unavoidable. It will be whatever it will be and everyone in the country will know it.
I’ve heard one tory a couple of weeks ago refer back to how there was no money when they took over from Labour. I think it was that Barclay character but it’s hard to tell with these clones.

Yep, be far better than Rayner who sounds like a thick gobshite.

I’ve met a few who are. Many of the supporters who weren’t brainwashed turned away from him when they realised his lack of sincerity and his..eye rolling.

Some mistake Johnson’s boorishness for charisma. He’s shallow beyond measure.A celebrity in reality and his shortcomings are for all to see. They brought him on Have I got news for you to laugh at him.A beacon of ridicule. But he has a big personality and Starmer will have to match him with wit and evidence if he is to turn him over. But he’s not the pallid Corbyn. I must admit when I saw he was quarantined I did wonder whether they had shelved Johnson due to the fact he was made to look so small in front of the experts that stood next to him. He needs to get Nandy in and I believe he will bring her to the fore. She will shed Johnson. She’s so unrelenting and unphased. Who else has survived Andrew Neil with so much aplomb. She appears fearless and that’s what they need above all.

Comments like this are an insult to the people who have elected him in his constituency for years. They also betray a deep lack of knowledge of and a disregard for the labour movement - there's very little in Corbyn that wasn't mainstream Labour prior to Bliar

I think that is highly unfair and uncalled for. She seems thoroughly decent from what I’ve seen. Definitely better than Richard Burgen anyway! I’d still have far, far preferred Dr Rosin Allin-Khan though, she has huge potential IMO.

No they don’t.

According to you most in the PLP thinks its the case too but I see you produce no evidence just swivel eyed smears.

I am speaking about Corbyn as a leader. To be a leader you have to earn the respect of those around you and be able to firstly move forward as a coherent unit and then be able to convince the electorate that you can lead them down the right path,. I thought your comment cheap, blind and patronising. He may have been backed by his constituency but not beyond that. I’ve been a labour supporter all my adult life but he was an all time low and I truly lost my faith in the party and it’s objectives. And you can’t really put Corbyn and Blair in the same category. It makes me despair.
