There are some small caps remaining on the pcb in the first picture. Are those from a different series?

John, to confirm I assume you mean the caps that you haven't removed?

The fourth cap from the left, below the heatsinks seems to be bulging on Paul's second picture

John, you've encountered some of the big caps bulging in 2013: http://www.pinkfishmedia.net/forum/showthread.php?p=1996663#post1996663 ;-)

These Bulging 12mm/13mm Caps on the negative rail is due to a damaged MOSFET on the AC/DC PSU board - blown I believe by the production test jig - its not due to bad caps. Due to the damaged MOSFET, the Capacitors are reversed biased when the MDAC is switched off.

I'll have to check back to the list of caps I replaced. There were 21 in total and I'm pretty sure there were 2 or more of each value.
