Lizzy Hardingham is one of East Anglia's best kept secrets... Enormous voice if you see her live - she is starting to get onto wider circuits now, but still mainly south of the country... expect that to change soon. Joshua Burnell is also an incredible live performer. Both have yet to find a recording studio that does them justice - but this is the way of so many artists...
This is one for the Captain I think... just heard this track on Radio Paradise by Son Volt and flicked through some of their other tracks, primarily Rock, but also classed as Alt/Country and Folk/Rock
Broken Harbours is the stage name of Rachel Ingrams for her heartfelt Americana debut EP. Worth a listen. https://brokenharbours1.bandcamp.com/album/songs-for-john-alfred
She's also written a novel, and in her day job works with young women who have abuse problems.
Just four voices, so despite the repertoire, this should belong here ;-)
Fork, "Smooth Criminal" live (I actually have a whole CD of this instrument-less band bought in Finland some 10-15 years ago)
