Emma Raducanu continues to improve.

Five Live here, it's quite difficult to follow tennis on the radio. Why ever is it not on telly?

I'm amazed at how calm and. composed she is. Even after being down a break at the beginning now her last two matches.

Losing the first couple of games of the first set is becoming a trademark.

Then she starts with the returns.

And the opponents start to struggle.

Anyone know why she changed coach ?
And what actually happened at Wimbledon when she dropped out ?

Great result, though I wish her service toss was a bit lower, I find the high toss nerve wracking, not even sure I could throw a ball that high at present!

A tremendous achievement from Emma. It looks like we finally have a star in the women’s game. Looking forward to the final tonight.

Raducanu has played Fernandez many times since they were both 12 year old juniors.

Her performance in this tournament looks the more dominant on paper.

Saturday at 9pm we get to enjoy the final, win or lose Emma has achieved the incredible.

Fernandez has had to fight her way through 3 set matches, strangely ER must be the favorite now!

Hmmm, tough to call I guess, especially as no one’s quite sure just how good Emma and Leylah are, though Leylah’s beaten more top-ranked players: Osaka (3), Kerber (16), Svitolina (5), Sabalenka (2).

Whoever wins, it’s great for tennis.
