You couldn't make this sh*t up.

What is even more hilarious is that Gove is already casually using the acronym KAP for this bloody permit, like it's just an every day thing that was planned all along and not at all something somebody has just made up on their fag break.

They lurch from one self-made crisis to another, both with Covid and with Brexit. Wait till they’re swamped by both in January. This is going to get ugly.

Irish haulage firms are trying to get the government to put extra direct ferries in place to by-pass the mess

I understand the Road Haulage Association intends to issue advice to its drivers that if they haven't got the necessary paperwork, they can instead claim that they are driving to Dover to test their eyesight.

That is true but Macron can do without more demos, the yellow jackets are back on the streets of Paris.

Another handy bit of straw clutching Col. If the measure of Europe's welfare is the level of protest and unhappiness with a sitting president in France, they have been on trouble for hundreds of years. Meanwhile......anything to say on the easiest deal in human history, or will Johnson cave when the traffic queues and food shortages and associated panic buying start?

I notice Gove is lining up the haulage industry as scapegoats for Brexiteer stupidity. #alwayssomebodyelsesfault

Cameo classic on the news this morning: "the refugee spotting drones would be more effective if they could be based in France".
After Brexit the French Navy will probably be escorting refugees into British waters...

The Spanish will be giving them packed lunches and sending them over the border into Gibraltar.

Not much to say about the easiest deal in history, there will be no real movement or compromise on either side until December.

An upside maybe for Scotland is no free or subsidised education for EU students from 2021.

December is too late. This fantasy that there’s a free pass coming for Johnson & Co.
Farage, the ERG and their financial backers will settle for nothing less than full Australia-style Brexit and personally I think nothing should stand in their way. The Brexit voter should expect nothing less. Let’s get Brexit done.
