The King was an excellent historical drama, with a little sex and lots of violence. Agencourt as mud wrestling was quite a spectacle. Production values were excellent, period settings, costumes, armor and weapons, all just about perfect. Was impressed when they included a little drainage ditch at an inn gateway, complete with a little plank bridging it. Perfect medievality! But the moody, philosophical Henry owns his movie. I don't believe the real Henry was such a groovy millennial, so here we blow the historicality thing, but he is self- consistent, seriously engaging, and basically so fascinating a character that it's OK. Great TV.
