I am always grateful to Tony L for running this site at absolutely no cost to me or any of us here. It's a brilliant site and an utterly essential part of my internet life. I love it.

But this site is Tony's business. It is how he makes a living.

He does that by both selling records on here ( it is fundamentally his record shop ) and a combination of various click through payments.

You, Daytona , also have an online record store and the thing that heartily pisses me off is you post in this thread constantly without posting links to the things you post so Tony can make no money from them. Read the second post at the beginning of this thread please.

A thread for forthcoming vinyl releases...

What also pisses me off is that the records you post are generally available from a very small number of places...your site being one of them.

You obviously don't think it utterly rude to parasite as you do on Tonys site but I do.

But that doesn't surprise me one bit about you because your feedback profile tells me all I need to know.

You could at least have the decency to post links to the records you flag to sellers where Tony can make a little money to keep hosting this site.

Or better still....have some manners and stop posting in this thread altogether.

Looking to get Eno’s Music for Airports. Maybe one of these. Anyone got any experience of half speed masters? Are they any good?

I think your question is going to get little attention posted in "New Releases"... it would be better off as its own thread.

I dont have an opinion about your suggestions specifically but I do think that ,for me, there are things that I prefer to own on CD.

Eno's ambient is some of it. The thought of listening to such peaceful ,meditative , music but having to get up and changes the record over after 8 minutes a side would drive me nuts. In the end I just know that I would not play it at all.

Sorry that is slightly off topic.

Santana Abraxas, MOFI Limited Edition Ultradisc One Step recording, 2x45 discs. Amazon price is higher than some other sites, though, a Scottish site being cheapest I've seen.

Ordered one, not sure whether I'll have to keep it unopened, but it'll almost certainly be played a bit, but frugally, as I have the old disc and cd.
Bought this a few years ago on mobile fidelity but did not find it any better than the mass-produced album.Mine is 33 rpm.

I have a long and intense relationship with skateboarding.

'The Search For Animal Chin' will mean nothing to most (99.9%) on pfm, but if it does then this may be of interest.

Limited Edition RSD release, reports are that it sounds awful - so I ordered one.

Box by ACR a retrospective on the the career of A Certain Ratio. Details from the Mute site are here: http://mute.com/a-certain-ratio/40th-anniversary-box-set-announced.

Lots of interesting looking unreleased materials for saddos like me who own the entire back catalogue already.
A colleague of mine is involved with a small record lable that issues some of Jez Kerr's solo stuff and knows Jez some. He has given me a couple of promo CDRs of singles, the last one signed by the man himself, and a copy of his album. I saw ACR live in my student days but they were a bit too 'electronic' for me then although I am more inerested now. Are the recent reissues any good or better to seek out originals?
