    B&W Complete Darkroom wanted

Thank you for your very kind offer, however I take your point about location. It might be worth posting it as available on this site or, maybe better http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/index.php?

    The latest Annie Leibovitz controversy

Annie Leibovitz can do little wrong in my eyes. She is an amasingly talented photographer and as far as the portrait in question is concerned, I think it is superb. Photographs should make you think and question which is exactly what this shot has done

    B&W Complete Darkroom wanted

Sean Thank you for that and I will contact my local colleges. I find it very sad that conventional D&P is no longer on the curriculum. Up and coming students will never get to see that magic moment when the image first appears in the tray

    B&W Complete Darkroom wanted

I wish to return to 35mm B&W processing and printing after many years using colour reversal. I live in Yorkshire, I am retired and broke but will give a good caring home to someone's no longer used darkroom

    Calling all over-50's...

Only this week have I decided to dispose of my entire Lp collection and turntable, see post "Nottingham Alalogue Spacedeck for sale" in classified. I believed I needed to journey the nostalgia path, which I have done over the past 10 months since having the Spacedeck but, been there done that, I...

    Johann Johannsson (For Kevin)

Did not know of this Johann Johannsson album thanks, listened to the clip and ordered it from Amazon UK. Someone mentioned trumpet, I guess you are familiar with Arve Hhenriksen on Rune Grammofon a sub of ECM

    Cool new northern record shop

I have not been to their new shop near Corn Exchange but it sounds as though must have been very close. I usual frequent theri Briggate shop which is right opposite the Grand theatre. I think maybe the Briggate shop has a larger volumn of specialist stuff

Bob Harris Saturday Night BBC Radio 2

Whispering Bob Harris was an institution on the OGWT on the Beeb but I just do not think he cuts the mustard on Radio 2. The Bob Harris Country program, IMHO is awful. His knowledge of accoustic American traditional music is so limited and the way he sucks up to musicians is painful. Nick...

    Cool new northern record shop

I think the internet and ebay does pose a real problem to retailers and no they cannot compete like for like. I believe they need to re think how the opperate and offer a much more specialist service to us buyers. Relics in Leeds have done just that and are reporting sales growth, in fact so...

"Inferno"- First part of Dante Alighieri's La Divina Commedia

I know this might sound a little arse about face but I have just received and listened to "Inferno" part one of Edgar Froese's magnum opus and it is equally as good, but different to part three. Recorded live, it faithfully follows ths Davina Commedi and explores our deluded mindset. On the...

what makes recordings sound old fashioned?

Al Stewart guitar tabs or chords

Once played a gig with him in Bingley West Yorkshire, I think it was called The Ferrands Arms. Really nice guy. "Love Cronicles" is a great album. I love "John the baptist in the park gettting laid thinking there's no one looking". Almost as good as Bob Dylan " The pumps don't work cos the...
