Liverpool Anglican Cathedral Bells - the ladder in the background gives some idea of scale, the largest bell in the circle weighs in at over 4 tons! The bell in the middle of the circle is over 15 tons and the total supporting steelwork 220 tons! The whole lot is 220ft (67m) above Cathedral floor!

Liverpool Radio City Tower, the distance between the tower and the red cranes is approx 2 miles, the tower is approx half a mile from my viewpoint. The large brick built building is the Bonded Tobacco Warehouse at Stanley Dock, when built was the largest brickbuilt building, superceeded by Battersea Power Station.

The bells are only part way up the tower, there is another 34m above them to the roof of the tower. I agree though I wasn't expecting to see inverted bells!

The steps up gave me the heebeegeebees and I held onto the camera very tight (given my past experience!)

I'm going up to Gairloch in a fortnight.... Got some treks planned in exactly that area, can't wait!
Another from Odiham - we also got to see The Blades who were, perhaps, even more impressive than the Red Arrows. Plenty of jaw on the floor moments such as this. (It almost looks like their wings are touching?)

A return to more familiar subject matter. One from the grounds of Tylney Hall, where we stayed for the airshow. A fabulous hotel and comes highly recommended.
