I know Walnut can fade to a pale staw colour but your speakers are showing golden on my screen.

Golden in real life too. Fortunately they live in a spot with almost no direct light. The shelves on the Pagode stand however have faded away to nothing - its always a shock to move a piece of kit to see the original colour underneath!

This picture made me smile.
Just what I've been thinking all this time. I'm sure we can all relate to this.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will not know how to turn the hi-fi on so she'll never play an LP or CD.

At least she'll be able to listen to FLAC files on her Squeezebox Boom until the server dies.

My stack .. twin devialets , squeezebox , miniDSP
My Rack .. coffee table
(speakers vivid audio G1's , my G1 spirits are arriving on the 7th of next month)

I live in an old brick barn.

Speakers are downstairs in the hall and kit is on the landing away from vibration etc. All fed mains from a balanced power supply in the spare room which is soon to be relocated to the meter cupboard.

Music mainly from a UnitiServe hidden in the 'network cupboard' then via Naim NAC N272 > 555DR > NAP 250DR > Tannoy GRF memories.

Can you give more details aboutthe power supply - and your impresions of what it adds to your system

Burr Walnut. The veneer on the two speakers is matched to provide a mirror image effect.

Very nice :)

They do this mirror matching on the Bentley cars in the dashboard wood.

Mostly, it works just fine.

But, they have an example at the factory where on one occasion it didn't. When they came to join the 2 pieces together it presented a fantastic satanic image (by pure coincidence). They decided that it wouldn't best please a customer paying nearly £200K.

(They should have just flogged it to a footballer..)
