I do believe there are far more unscrupulous sellers than buyers.

But it is easier to scam as a buyer than seller - less effort and fewer reprocussions from ebay/PayPal.

Sell badly and you can get banned and then have to jump hoops trying to sell again. Any old joe can set up as a buyer only account and start buying without checks.

Think I have almost pulled my hair out, answered every question within 15seconds before buying and after I purchased he gave me a "session id" from the post office receipt claimed he did not send it tracked and gave me a refund via an e-cheque which bounced.

Looks like I am not the only person for this guy to get an interest free loan out of

Looking at his dsr's he wont be selling much longer, hopefully you got your money back from paypal.
