I hve been using the USB connection to my laptop and find that the B plug into the 8200CDQ is very loose and does not push in right down to the shoulder of the connector. I have had one of these for about 12 months now and I can hear it hum when all is quiet. Is this normal, do other owners have the same niggle or do I have a faulty transformer. Thanks

Thanks CST, I will try that. Yes I guess it must be vertical bi-amping, each 8200P amp feeding a single speaker. I believe this is how mono bloc's are connected and is supposedly superior by isolating each channel to each amp to a single speaker.

I had exactly the same problem and after speaking to Tech Support they arranged for my dealer to swap it out immediately. Mine was the CDQ but sounds like the same problem. New one was perfect, it is a fabulous player.

I have ordered a couple of these and will let you know what I think of them. As an aside will this reduce the hiss I can hear from the tweeter that I can hear from about 12 inches away.
