    Naim NAP180 and HICAP

Following various upgrades, it is time to get rid of some of the now redundant stuff. Nobody seemed to be interested in the summer, but perhaps HIFI is more of a winter thing? Anyway, bored of this stuff in the way in my office so better prices as well. NAP 180 - Serial number 159510 (1999)...

    Enlarger and Nova developing tank

Now I know wet darkrooms aren't really in fashion in these days of photoshop, but I thought somebody here might be interested. My darkroom equipment has been waiting for me to get going again for about 10 years now, so perhaps somebody else might like a go. It is all packed up in the loft but...

Good CD Player For Naim 112 and 150

A CDX would be superb in that setup. (and I'm not just saying that because I have one for sale in the classifieds) Seriously, the CDX doesn't seem ever to have been as fashionable a used buy as the CDX2, and is much better value £ for sound as a result. gabble

    Vinyl in Yorkshire?

There is actually a shop in Howarth - a secondhand bookshop - that has (or certainlyused to have) a small vinyl selection. I bought quite a bit from there, all great condition. On the main cobbled street, called Venables and Bainbridge or similar. Look out for the pub further down that...

    Music for a small girl

Thanks everyone, some good suggestions in there - I'd already picked up on the Abba and high school musical stuff. She was delighted to learn that we already owned an Abba LP. I'm not sure what her friends will make of music coming on vinyl rather than CD or MP3 - I'll tell them it is the...

    Music for a small girl

This is a tough one. My daughter, aged 5 is starting to recognise "proper" (i.e. not kids) music. She has opinions on the music I play and listens to a wide range of stuff - Classical, Jazz, older pop, Folk etc etc etc. Trouble is, non of this really has much street cred with her friends...

    Rhythm v Melody.

Thanks, I've been reading for a very long time, but only just got around to saying anything. (Many who know me would say this is a good thing) Le Voyage de Sahar is also available on CD and a similar sound to Le pas du chat noir. Great music, and really well recorded.

    Rhythm v Melody.

Another perspective... slower music can sometimes appear "harder" to listen to if there is a lot of other stuff going on. I'm listening to Anouar Brahem "Le pas du chat noir" whilst writing this, and music doesn't get much dreamier. (Great CD btw). I'm getting wound up though because my wife &...
