The forthcoming demise of the Conservative minority government, May 2017-?

I'm looking at the front page of The Standard above and not quite believing what I'm reading and I'm being perfectly serious.

Grayling is a complete idiot. His earlier cabinet position entailed reform of parts of the criminal justice system....net result, my partner (along with hundreds of her colleagues) leaving the now totally f*cked up probation service. All that's left now are young girls to look after the nasty bastards (most that left were the older and wiser PO's). All done in the name of efficiency. The twat is now very likely to screw up the railways. The bloke is just plain incompetent.

Even to his own colleagues he is known as "failing" Grayling. With regard to the Evening Standard satire is broken it seems.

It seems now as if the content wasn't of the "extreme" type which became illegal soon afterwards, and I guess that an opposition politician has a lot more time on his/her hands than when in Government. The real issue, as ever, is that politicians feel it is entirely justified to tell lies, cover up, or just be economical with the truth in order to trick the public. Surely the porn aspect is as nothing compared to driving the UK economy over a cliff for blatant party and personal self-interest, or does the "No sex, we're British" philosphy still exist?

Exactly - it's inappropriate use of work time/equipment, and t'lies.
istm the whistle blowing ex' PO is doing so in the public interest.

The Daily Osborne reckons Tory Brexit Kamikaze pilot David Davis will resign if Damian Green’s quaint office computer usage become a firing incident (Evening Standard).

PS Yay! Buy one, get one free! \o/

You could expect the outrage expressed in the Standard article, but what about "A Labour legal figure added: “The police can’t just seize your computer for one reason and then blacken your name with what they found on it later, where no charges are brought.” o_O

Also makes you wonder who is pushing the issue if it isn't the opposition?

It is an interesting one. Tories always fight like rats in a sack so I have a feeling it may be an internal power-struggle thing. The ‘porn’ does not appear to be of an illegal nature, so any law-breaking is down to whether it was on his own personal computer or one belonging to his employer (you and me). If the latter I assume it breaches some parliamentary acceptable usage policy and may be a dismissal offence, but I have no idea. Certainly if some clerk at a dole office or whatever filled up their HD in such a way (not that they’d have access rights) that would be a desk/box/carpark scenario. Jacob ‘wrong about everything since the eighteenth century’ Rees-Mogg was on DP trying to blame it all on the last Labour government as some kind of illegal search, so it won’t be that...

Davis must not be allowed to resign. The twat has a can to carry. I'm pretty sure half of them desperately want to be sacked or find a reason to resign rather than face the reality of the mess they have made.

What's more embarrassing?

The police finding thousands of pornographic images on your parliamentary computer or having to admit you once nailed Dianne Abbott?

Congratulations, you just added to the torrent of online abuse Diane Abbott has had to put up with:

Proud of yourself?
I don't need to be proud. It's my opinion.

She deserves criticism. Outrageous racist comments, dumb interviews, sending her own kid to private school etc

Support her if you like but I can't stand her bigotry.

Don't expect pages of discussion either. You may love her, that's your opinion. I don't. End of.
