Your Record Player History

My main turntable progression has been as follows:

Garrard RC210 on a Bush portable player
BSR P267 on an Amstrad record player
Another BSR of some sort on an Amstrad Tower System
Garrard 630S on a Bush music centre
Hitachi PS-17
Garrard 301 - SME3009 - Shure M75ED
Garrard 301 - Audio Technica AT-1130 - Audio Technica AT110E
Garrard 301 - Alphason HR-100S - Audio Technica AT-OC9MLII

I'm currently using a Garrard 301, SME 309 and Ortofon Kontrapunkt b although I also use a Michell Gyro SE for reviewing purposes, generally used with the SME309 and Kontrapunkt b

Other than this, the list of turntables I have bought, sold, played with and enjoyed over the years would run into hundreds and hundreds. I still have 23 turntables other than the Garrard and Michell, currently.... :D

Garrard SP25
BD 1
AR XA
Technics DD with SME arm
Thorens 160 with Mission 774
Linn LP12 with Mission 774
AR XA - bought secondhand.

I still have the Linn ( in my primary system ) and the last ( secondhand) XA in a second system. The AR is probably the best turntable ever made.

Looking back, I should have stopped at the first XA for the primary system...
