Which £1k integrated amp with DAC?

yes those exceptional AR6 deserve a brilliant amp . my money would be on the arcam sa20 which at the new price of 850 quid is a steal with a full warrenty . even cheaper than a second hand hegel h95 !!!

they image incredibly well as you know . i was so impressed with them and they would be back here any day .

as you know i used arcam with them too [ with bc as a pre ]
 
I have Alchris AR6s and use a Denon PMA2500 amp to drive them. I am delighted at the results. The amp has a great inbuilt DAC and even a decent phono stage for both MM & MC. Alan builds exceptional speakers and I agree you need plenty of power to get the best from them. They may be a little over budget but shop around -

Hello mate. Yes, I’m still debating! I have to say tho, they are much better with the Audiolab vs that older Arcam I had. It put me off the SA20 slightly in case it was equally “warm” if that’s the right term. However, the reviews say different so it’s still on the list. I do love all the opinions, but I’m set on an all in one. Preferably with at least two optical inputs.
 
Honestly, save yourself a lot of time and buy a Yamaha RN803D. You can get rid of any other streamer too as you won’t need it. It replaced 2 racks of Naim for me, no regrets whatsoever.

hi , great to see you . yes i think they would match well with a warm amp . i put them with a bel canto c5i as a pre amp and they were superb but as they are very fast speakers it was a bit too much . the BC pre 5 was better . Very nearly ordered some AR10 but quite a long waiting list and something else came up

Yep, this would be my choice, the PMA-2500NE but beware, it is a beast of an Amp so make sure it fits in your rack! Sold as 80wpc but actually tested at 125wpc/8ohms

A Gato DIA-250 could fit the bill, But then I would say that as I have one for sale having have just replaced mine with the Gato AMP 150.
 
I’m overwhelmed now if I’m honest. How do you lot think I should narrow this down? I don’t mind a little bit of buying and selling but I don’t want to end up stuck with something I can’t move on.
