Great record. I had a copy of cassette but it's long gone and needs to be replaced if I get a chance.
Which reminds me, I have copy of Delights of the Garden on Douglas Records (vinyl) with Bernard Purdue on drums that I haven't played for ages. Must dig it out for a play later
^ tis’ very good…..I’m surprised my nearest neighbour (100ft away….i listen loud at times) hasn’t shouted “oh for ****s sake will you play something else”
Haha, Yeah, same here. Wasn’t mad when I played it in the car on Spotify, but its been turned over many times tonight, layers on layers, lots in there.
Currently on something different to wind down with, Listening to Andy Stott - Faith in Strangers and the vocals in “On Oath” came in, got shivers up my spine, Listening on Hiby R6 iii and Symphonium Meteor iem’s as even I admit 80db at this time of night is taking the piss a bit.
Charles Lloyd – The Sky Will Still Be There Tomorrow. Blue Note – 00602458167948. 2 x CD, 2024. A fine sounding record The dynamic range is mediocre, around 10dB across the two CDs, it's not been crushed but it is a little over squeezed down for volume. I'm sure Jim is right about the LP being preferable.
