Listening to Delta Kream from the Black Keys and Skyrnryd live at Knebworth 1976. It brings back memories as I that was my only ever visit to Knebwoth.
I didn't realise that there was an "official" recording of Skynyrd at Knebworth - is it any good?
I remember being back home with my girlfriend (after the concert)
and listening to to cassette that I had made of "Freebird", lost the tape many years ago but some excellent memories
Edywn Collins, Del Amitri, John Martyn, Dick Gaughan, Micheal Marra, Danny Wilson, Gary Clark, Deacon Blue, Orange Juice,The Kane Gang,The Big Dish, maybe some American stuff later.. notice any omissions? Incidentally, Elvis Costello, long time Hero, last night on the J Ross show was utter crap, lyrics? and singing, turn a red rose blue, repeat ad f., near bad as Rod Stewart.
Solid Air should have been the springboard for JM to have been a superstar. Apart from One World and Grace & Danger his albums never quite reached the high mark that was Solid Air. A classic.
