I have been reviewing The Gramophone's shortlist for their 2021 awards, and have been marveling at the quality of the recordings and performances on offer. I really enjoyed this album. Kopatchinskaja is such an exciting artist.

For me this album works well at low or higher volumes.

Right now I am giving it some. Really is ‘speakers disappearing’ stuff. Magic. Curtains drawn. Low lighting but eyes closed anyway. I don’t know why, but I love the sound of cymbals.
If I could stop thinking about Donald’s lips, and that weird shape they are, it would be 10/10.
