I knew about this at the time it came out but never heard any of it, then after hearing Mondo Bongo gave it a listen and am very glad I did. Eclectic, funky, funny and with that good old Joe swagger.
Up to SEEZ 30 Ian Dury & Blockheads - Laughter A1, B3. The story this time is about different band members' portraits on the inner sleeve - mine's Norman Watt-Roy and Charley Charles. Disappointing album really as Dury was losing out to drink and drugs. Wilko Johnson on this one.
Perhaps one of the finest examples of the 'singles album', the polar opposite of a 'Telstar' kind of thing. (Do we have a thread?) - Complete Madness Stiff HIT-TV1. Is the id tag a little dig at those telemarketing ads? Mines A-4 B-4. Sounds fantastic too. Not being a buyer of singles, I'm a fan of the well-produced collection, especially when they're not all album tracks. Some of the fades have been chopped, but who doesn't want an extra track per side?
