  1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

I heard these live in Cambridge and loved them instantly. This debut album is truly outstanding. Just give it a listen.

Grant Green - 'Matador'. Vinyl, Music Matters 2x45rpm reissue.
After another play though of Bobby Hutcherson's The Kicker, that has Grant Green on I thought I would compare his version of Bedouin there to the one on his album.

Alison Krauss. I love her take on Gentle on my Mind. This BBC isn't over-produced like the album version.

They say there are strangers who threaten us
    Our immigrants and infidels
They say there is strangeness to danger us
In our theaters and bookstore shelves
That those who know what's best for us
Must rise and save us from ourselves!

Quick to judge, quick to anger
    Slow to understand
    Ignorance and prejudice
And fear walk hand in hand

    Hopefully in November things change...

foxwelljsly Me too, I ate one sour too.

Having a John Martyn weekend and have been listening to all his solo LPs from the beginning. The run from The Tumbler to One World is unimpeachable. The two with Beverley have their moments, but lack the singular vision of his solo albums.
