Joan Baez - Diamonds and Rust.

Heard it in the local Costa Coffee, and it stopped me in my tracks.

From the "oh shit, I forgot I'd bought this but glad I did" pile:
Kiran Leonard - Grapefruit

Like Pavement, Devendra Banhart, Jeff Buckley, GY!BE, Mogwai and Hella but in the form of a 21 year old from Oldham...

A favourite of mine, great recording too... I'm playing Wet Wet Wet - High On The Happy Side right now, I think I'll spin that next!

Other things I've played this evening include Prodigy - Fat of The Land, Rage Against The Machine - 1992 self titled album, Roy Orbison - In Dreams... keeping it diverse.:D

John Frusciante ‎– To Record Only Water For Ten Days. This has just got a limited vinyl run on a small Aussie label. 2LP 45rpm no less! Stunning album, just John, his excellent voice and a drum machine.

Testing testing.......

Really nice and easy to share from Roon but a bit disappointed by the low resolution.

Jansen/Barbieri - Stories across borders.

Upsampling to 88.2kHz via Roon 1.3, err because I like mucking around with stuff!

Was Lester Young - "Laughing to keep frm crying". The just out Jazz 33 LP reissue.

Now, to hear Lester in better form 'Bird and Pres.: The 46 Concerts - Jazz at the Philharmonic'. Again LP.

Been appreciating some Tony Williams today:

Miles Davis - Filles de Kilimanjaro
Miles Davis - In A Silent Way
Miles Davis - Nefertiti
Tony Williams - Once In A Lifetime
Miles Davis - Cookin' At The Plugged Nickel
The Quintet - V.S.O.P
