My thoughts on first listen : meh

I haven't got to the end yet.

The problem for me is that I'm a big fan of the whole post-rock thing. When Mogwai were new they were very fresh and almost groundbreaking; but I don't think they're doing too much that is new and there are other people who do the various parts much better. I know the genre lends itself to rambling, which is kind of what I'm doing here.

I prefer the Pelican stuff to this, f'rinstance.

This all comes with the caveat that I've been staring at the same set of spreadsheets since about 8 this morning and my head is spinning.
 
I ordered it the other day, so it better be good, or else...

Even better than I was expecting.
 
Hoobastank - The Reason

First hear it on the Festival CD from summer 2005, but got the album at Christmas, and it's gradually growing on me.
 
Inspired by my local hifi club, I've just listened to Patricia Barber Companion in its entirety.

Am I banned?
