Ukraine V

Reality, mostly.
I saw another part of his speech. He obviously believes his appointment with destiny has arrived. It was the full Book of Revelation, the final great battle between Good and Evil with the Patriarch anointing the warriors. I now think we were living in a bubble to imagine another tyrant wouldn’t emerge in Europe to fulfil his destiny. Still, 75 years is a good respite since the last one. He’s not mad, he’s just bad. A cheap hood who has got beyond himself and is going to take a large number of human sacrifices with him.

From that Soloyov Twitter thread.

"Sorry, can't talk now, I'm at the illegal annexation."
Here’s another Soloyov beauty: “ Soloyov gets drafted”

The ones who’ve fled the country to Georgia and elsewhere are the ones they need for their army- these guys are just there to absorb shrapnel. Meanwhile, the poison dwarf takes to the stage ( ideal height for tank crew, send him to the front and weld him into a T34):

it wasn’t that long ago that he was only meeting people at the other end of a 10 metre table. What changed?

There have been a lot of fairly reliable reports that the families of new Russian conscripts are having to spend up to € 2,500 to kit out their son: uniform, combat boots, sleeping bag etc. The latest is that they apparently have to bring their own first aid kits, too. Tampons are popular. apparently, for the blood absorbing properties, so they take some of those in their pockets. All in the army of a UNSC member that periodically threatens the world with nuclear weapons.

I like the way the Ukrainians banged in their NATO application just after Russia announced its cod annexation of more Ukrainian territory. Hard to argue with their timing.

Yes, there was a video. Put a tampon in bullet hole, she said, it will expand and will put a pressure on wound. Not bad idea. Also was suggested to have a reserve of womens packets for to put on wounds. And take first aid kit from cars. It is incredible that there is shortage for so simple and basic things in the army.

A bit awkward, coming the day after Vova signed the annexation of the place. Where is the respect?
Wonder how many officers they’ll get? Could be very few since they’re likely to have got into stolen cars and legged it first.

Given the Ukrainians will feed, house, keep them decently*, vs being dumped into the field - by the Russian Army they are supposed to slavishly serve without clothes, food, supplies or training and expected then to build their own camps ... very soon: if not already happening.

* you know, the little things, such as - oh, even though we took you prisoner: no torture, nor random shootings / mass graves to keep up morale etc.
