Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the Russian-imposed military-civilian administration in the occupied Kherson region of Ukraine, has spoken to the RIA Novosti news agency. He said that the forces in occupied Kherson are ready to defend themselves against any attempt by the Ukrainians to retake the region. It quotes him saying:

“The Kherson region is ready to repel the attempts of the offensive by Ukrainian militants, if such a criminal order is given to them by the regime of Zelenskiy, who is ready to wage war to the last Ukrainian for the sake of destroying the country. Reliable protection of the borders of the region is provided by the Russian ministry of defence”.

It’s scorching in Crimea,


Russian air base hit in occupied Crimea as beach lizards look on. Zelensky has called for all visas for Russian entry to Europe to be stopped. Why should Russians holiday in Europe while their government slaughters Ukrainians in their own country?

Crimea is a hundred miles from Ukraines forces so it would appear that it is flexing it’s muscles with its new weapons supplied by the West. Zelenskiy said:

“This Russian war against Ukraine and against the entire free Europe began with Crimea and must end with Crimea - with its liberation.

“Russia has turned our peninsula, which has always been and will be one of the best places in Europe, into one of the most dangerous places in Europe. But we will return to the Ukrainian Crimea. From the Kharkiv region to Kherson, from Donetsk to Enerhodar, from Stanytsia Luhanska to Yalta, from Berdyansk to Novofedorivka – these are all parts of our country, this is Ukraine, which will be completely free.”

Unlikely but it would be a good outcome, Crimea can be a lovely place with decent government.

Good little microclimate with water all around.
 
Assassination attempt against Putin’s Five Rouble Rasputin. He decided not to get in the car at the last minute but his daughter (also a notable ethnic supremacist and inciter) did. This will put the cat amongst the pigeons, likely producing Russian fascist vengeance.

Along with the attacks on the Russian lizards in Speedos in Crimea, I hope this brings it home to Russian's that war means war and as a consequence they will have to endure its hardships as the Ukrainian people have and continue to do so daily.
 
There’s going to be a whole winter before Putin will know whether his oil/gas card has worked or not. More grief for everyone I’m afraid.

Some discussion that Dugin was not so close to Putin but very popular with the military. Sounds like a Putin / KGB play to silence an irritant and blame Ukraine, all for domestic consumption.
 
I was initially ambivalent about shutting down Russian TV and media outlets in the West but given the conduct of RT’s chief executive Margarita Total War Simonyan, I think the decision was wise. She’s shown RT for what it is-

"Russia’s FSB has claimed it has “solved” the murder of Darya Dugina, the daughter of the ultranationalist Russian ideologue Alexander Dugin, who investigators say was killed on Saturday evening when a suspected explosive device blew up the Toyota Land Cruiser she was driving.

The FSB said the attack was carried out by a Ukrainian woman, born in 1979, who arrived in Russia on 23 July with her daughter. The suspect escaped to Estonia following the killing, the FSB said in a statement carried by Russian state agencies."
