Kane was better in the 2nd half. England are a very young side, we need experienced players on the pitch also.

I really cannot understand a lot of he views on here. A classic case of recency bias.

It was a great game but the Ukrainian goalie will be having nightmares. His team mates didn't exactly shine either.

John Barnes was a genius at club level.

England need firepower, it's sitting on the bench.

Kane's time has come & gone at tournament level, we need dynamic players willing to give everything, players who have something to prove.

The guy is 20 years old, he has a long & prosperous career to look forward to.

He does and did all the things you say. I am not criticising him - he is a huge talent - and his positional discipline is for the manager to sort. Currently, he absolutely plays as I describe and is a maverick in that sense. He has a unique skillset, but at 20 nobody is the finished article, and he isn't.
 
Belgium are at number 3 in the FIFA world rankings btw - behind Argentina and France (England are fourth). Slovakia are 48th whereas Englands opponents Serbia are 33rd. Funny auld game.

Wow, what utter nonsense.

He’s Englands record goal scorer, one of the best players to ever wear the shirt. Nothing to do with John Barnes.
