Nowadays, that sort of activity would see me in more pain than I am already…

work - loads of little tricky things to deal with. Raging sore throat and a bit achy.....

Mrs BB has been ill for a week, she started like that. It’s knocked her for six, haven’t seen her like it since we had Gastric Flu, 25 years ago. Hope you don’t get what she’s had.

Cheers BB

It was the feeling cold and achiness and residual feeling of being quite drained that has made me all-round fed up. Now Mrs Seeker's got it.

feel OK ATM, sore throat a bit of a chest runny nose - think it's just a head cold. As an asthmatic need to watch my chest.

The Daughter is 37 yrs. old today. Cripes.

My closest friend is over this evening. He is just back from a month in Goa, so I am looking forward to hearing about his antics. Most of all I am keen to see his photos of his holiday. He has started on a series of paintings as well based on sketches from his visit, so I get to neb at them as well.
Wife has baked a lemon drizzle cake, so mate & I can demolish that later to soak up some beer.
If we make it past midnight, I will be shocked/impressed.

Edit: I waved goodbye to my mate at about 00:15 hrs. so equally ‘shocked and impressed!’
Ate half the cake, and many crisps.
Blew his mind by showing him ~ ‘Everything, Everywhere, All At Once.’
Fourth time I have seen it - it remains outstanding.

Last edited:
meeting to discuss 4 tenders for project
fending off various phone calls from concerned folks who want to bring my friend home into a totally unsuitable environment rather than a decent nursing home with all care . extremely upsetting really

managed to get electrician out after only one day to replace smoke and heat alarms that had failed
redid the tiling and silicon on a bathroom leak
met up with a great friend locally to catch up
organised cavity wall installation survey

Last minute shopping before hols. Weird experiences with 2 shops.

Mountain Warehouse. Allegedly a closing down sale. Bought a nice padded jacket and then spotted some unusually nice lightweight sweaters at 'from £12.99'......first few I looked at, £16.99. Still OK with that so took one to the till.....£29.99. WTAF. Told it was because of the colour I chose! Stick it.

Evans Cycles. The days of fancy bike needs are long gone but I spotted a nice, cheap Specialised Hybrid on line at £375. Perfect for my needs. Went to pay, told it was £515! WTAF again. Complained and told immediately that they could price match THEIR OWN online price. Bought it.
