One of the greatest pop songs ever written, & in my desert island discs top 10.

"Standing at the door of the Pink Flamingo crying in the rain" (!) is just -the- best opening line, of any sad song (& SO fabulously gay it's not funny too!) by one of our finest voices. Best version:
