Royd Audio

Royd no longer exists as a company, but the RR3 occasionally comes up in the used market. I really like it in my secondary system.

I bought some ‘new’ Minstrels from Adam, for my son’s system
They had the new drive units and an old cabinet.
The old Royd crossovers were included.
I sold them on and organised new crossovers to suit the drive units.
They perform very well indeed.
My son is very pleased with them .

Hello,
I have owned a pair of Royd Sintras bought at the Cornflake shop (Windmill street London) in 1991, paired with a Naim Nait 2 they brought infinite delight to my ears for decades; I stupidly sold them one day craving for change and keep regretting it.
These were very talented speakers which could 'materiealize' the music instruments. Beyond this, the design was so good, they were a real piece of 'Englishness' if I could say so.
What a real good idea to create this post because when I got into PKM I just wanted to post a message about Royd.
In fact, after living for 3 years without my Royd speakers and despite my Proac Tablette 10 whcih are decent speakers, I miss them a lot and just in case if any of you have a pair of Royd Sintras MK1 that you would be ready to sell could you just think of me, thanks,
