I was at Halton from May ‘81 to Feb ‘82, doing my trade training. Back then recruit training was done at Swinderby near Lincoln. Halton will be going the same way as Swinderby soon, I think

if only I’d appreciated the beauty of the local area a little more back then!

Current plans are for RTS to move to RAF Cranwell - I say 'current plans' but they've been current for over 10 years now.

I was at Swinditz from Mar-May '84 then ended up at Uxbridge from Mar '86 to Jan 2011 which was handy for doing civvy gigs in London with the BBC etc. Did my last tour at Cranwell, taking off the blue suit in April 2013. Have to admit, every time I head back down to Uxbridge to visit former muso mates (which is rarely these days) I miss the area terribly. Not.
