All the images are taken in the Dinorwig Slate Quarry.
The top one is view through the trees of morning sun reflecting off the frosty roof of a large building built between the wars to house a large compressor, for compressed air drilling. I think its the only original building on the entire site with an intact roof now. You can just see the ridge tiles if you look closely.
The next two images are the Anglesey Barracks, where men who travelled from Anglesey or other distant places lived during the week, four or five men, or more, to a unit.
The last image is along the wall of a roofless slate mill, towards what the climbers call Watford Gap, with Llanberis Pass in the background.
Today he played for Ipswich against Epping. We found out this evening that the Saracens age group head coach was there, and was very impressed by the team. My nephew won MotM.... this could turn interesting.
@Mr Perceptive - beautiful set of images mate. Very different conditons to when we were there! I will definitely have to come back before Winter is out. Hopefully in February sometime.
You've nailed the shot of Tryfan from Afon Lloer.
@Gromit - lovely HK skyline image. That would look gorgeous in a frame.
