You get the same functions in most photo editing packages

In CS6 I use Bicubic Sharper on reduction
and Unsharp Mask afterwards

In capture NX2 I use resample image on reduction and USM after

etc

Thanks Cliff - Strange but the Fujifinepix suite does not allow for resizing

Forced me to try resize with my old Nikon Viewer - not too bad but I may try updating to NX2

I tried Gimp 2.8 before I posted that suggestion on my Mac Book Pro, and was able to do an 800px export in under a minute. Neither NX2 nor CS6 are any more intuitive. If you want one that is v.hard to use, try DxO Optics Pro 8 - it took me about 10 minutes just to find how to save a jpeg.
