i had an original ATC SIA2 a great amp, unbeatable at the time for the price, put it up to a Lavardin at the time no contest, there is one on ebay now for £1750,

Can I suggest you try a Lyngdorf TDAi2170 or 3400?
By far the biggest error in a system are typically those created by the room which makes some sound 3 or 4 times louder than others. RoomPerfect will remove these so you hear your speakers as they should sound rather than the way the room makes them sound.
Buying the best source, amp and speakers will only get you so far…… at some point the limiting factor is the room and the right correction can be transformational.
