Good XLR volume controls are available from GoldPoint, but they are not cheap.Does it hurt using XLR inline attenuator pads (30db, 40db etc)?
My intention is to feed my NCore NC500 based monos directly from MDAC's XLR outputs, and I'm worried since amps are much more powerful than my current speakers.

27th August. Have I missed anything?BigDog,
I now wait for final quote from vendor with packing...
NO it is not the same as a Pi with a Digi+. The Digi plus just gives you a optical and coax. No PSU cleaning USB Cleaning, Clock improvements etc.
The legend that is archimago already measured the pi USB as clean.

I have an Allo USBridge which comes with an RPI3 SBC
I have an Allo USBridge which comes with an RPI3 SBC. The SBC itself is a bit more optimised than usual compared to the RPI3 from a noise perspective. The dedicated USB HAT is fully optimised for noise. Simply swapping out the USB connection between the two reveals the SBC alone is not all that clean...
AFAIK what we were supposed to be waiting for was the final quote on the chassis for the detox.I don’t think so. Are we supposed to be expecting the detox USB hub or the mdac 2 next? Someone will know.
All RPIs are SBCs. and all RPis are RPis. What the allo usbridge uses is a Sparky which is a bit like an RPI3 but isn't an RPi.I love a good acronym.

I assume it must be 'single board computer', though I thought all RPI's were (Raspberry Pi).
How does it reveal this? All results are somewhat Dac dependent. Over at AudioScience Review Amir has had fun pointing out that various foo streaming devices have worse results than his laptop, butSimply swapping out the USB connection between the two reveals the SBC alone is not all that clean...
