Have you tried (gently) pulling and pushing the motor spindle a few times to see if it settles? On older motors it worked.
I opted for the scenic route home and a damn good blast when I picked up my new car, jolly good fun it was too, from Portland to North Devon via the coastal road and back lanes, no harm done, no need to run it in.lol, it's not 1961. There is no "running in", they've all been thrashed on the factory roll road during brake test and then thrashed around the site from line end to park up. By all means run it in if it makes you feel any better.
