Folk/Acoustic

Treated myself to a couple of box sets for Christmas:

Richard and Linda Thompson ‘Hard Luck Stories’ - admittedly Folk/Rock but what the hell...

Fotheringay ‘Nothing More’ - supposedly the complete available recordings from this short lived, Sandy Denny fronted band.

The Unthanks wrote the music for the first 2 episodes of Wurzel Gummidge on BBC1 last Christmas (2 programmes).
This year, only one programme was made with the soundtrack written by someone else . I was disappointed until they appeared in person on the balcony of the pub overlloking the sea and played a couple of fantastic numbers live at 51m 20 secs into the programme.Almost certainly worth checking out the 3 programmes as well if you haven't seen them.

The Fotheringay box set is good but the other ‘singer’ in the group spoils it. I find myself skipping the tracks where he sings lead.
