I've said here before, probably more than once, that the "smash it all, start again" urge was a very definite driver around here in the Red Wall. It gelled nicely with "stick it to the establishment, kick them out" and picked up a good few votes, many from people who didn't imagine that it would result in actually leaving the EU.
