it is the ideal city bike for toronto (and not just because we have so many hipsters). unfortunately, there has been a marketing shift in the past few years and the shop inventories, which used to be ~70% single speed, are now mainly made up of multi-gear bikes. perhaps 5-10% single speed. it's already showing on the streets, but perhaps not so obvious in my pictures as the simpler design of fixies is more likely to work in a photo.
